Covid Vaccination Update – 5 February 2021

The vaccination clinic at Adams Park on Sunday 7th February is still planned to run despite the snow forecast. We will be ready to give your vaccination if you are able to get Adams Park. We have great support from volunteer marshalls from Community Impact Bucks, Marlow Rotary and Bucks Fire and Rescue Service to keep the site safe and clear snow as required.

Marlow Medical Group (MMG) and our network of practices have been able to administer a record 3315 vaccinations this week having run clinics on 29th January and 1st – 3rd February. A further clinic is being run today, Friday 5th February.

This week we have mainly been vaccinating residents who are 70-74 and who are on the NHS shielding list.

We are awaiting vaccine delivery to enable us to run a further two clinics next week on Wednesday 10th February and Friday 12th February and will start to invite residents who are 65-70.

If you have a mobile number on your medical record you will receive a text from us which will enable you to book an appointment slot by clicking on the link in the text. For patients without a mobile number on your medical record we will be calling you.

To enable us to focus on running the vaccination programme we kindly ask that you don’t call the surgery unless absolutely necessary. We will contact you via text or phone call.

We are still planning the significant task of vaccination of our housebound residents which needs careful organisation to ensure that all vaccine can be administered each day within the refrigeration timescales but want to assure our residents we are working on this with maximum urgency and hope to start this soon.

We would like to say another big thank you to Anna Morant and the Marlow Life, Marlow Elves and Marlow Bottom Facebook teams for liaising with local companies to provide food to our vaccination team. On Monday we enjoyed paella from The Valencia Supper Club. Thank you very much for this kindness and all your lovely feedback and kind words. We are all very touched to hear your support for the vaccinating teams.
