Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS)

The South Central Ambulance service provides transport for patients who are unable or who have no other means of transport. This includes those who are:

  • Attending hospital Outpatient appointment
  • Being admitted or discharged from hospital
  • Needing life-saving treatments such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy or renal dialysis or DVT treatment.

When booking transport you will be asked for your NHS Number. This can be found on any prescriptions or repeat prescription that you may have had. Otherwise you can request you NHS Number here.

You can enquire about your eligibility by ringing 0300 100 0015 available 7am-7pm.

If you are eligible, please ring 0300 123 3235 to book transport available 24/7 365 days a year.

If you wish to cancel a previous booking please call 0300 790 0143 available 24/7 365 days a year.

Marlow Age Concern Hospital Transport Service

If you live in Marlow, Hambleden, Frieth, Fingest, Skirmett, Lane End or Hurley and need a lift to get to a doctors’ or hospital appointment then call 01628 476139.

Vetted and trained volunteers can pick you up from your home and drive you to any medical appointment whether it be at the local surgery, Wycombe Hospital, Stoke Mandeville or further afield like Reading, Oxford or London.

The cost of the journey is 65p per mile and any money made is used to support Marlow Age Concern. We will make sure you are in the right place at the right time and then bring you home again.

The service is available Monday to Friday. The office is staffed from Monday to Friday 10.00am to 11.00am. Outside these hours, please leave a message with your contact number and you will be called back the next weekday. Wherever possible please try to call 72 hours in advance. New volunteer drivers are always welcome.
